"The Nativity Story" Hits Theatres;
Takes a 21st Century Audience Into the Details of Joseph & Mary's Trek to Bethlehem
(A list of SAN DIEGO THEATRES showing "The Nativity Story"

It doesn't have Christian producers behind it, but "The Nativity Story" will probably get a lot of things "right," and San Diego crowds are ready to see!
There is already word that people are getting saved after simply watching the movie's trailer on the "Nativity" homepage. After the movie opening this weekend, will we hear of even more miracles as we did when "The Passion of the Christ" was released?
The answer is sure to be yes. We know that tens of thousands of people who would never think of going church are likely to hit the theatres this holiday season. And we can thank Hollywood this time for hiring a few Christians to consult on the movie and teach the producers "how Christians think."
"I hope the Christians make a strong showing for this opening weekend. We want Hollywood to continue to take notice that there is a market for good content," said one movie-goer who also made sure he was there for the opening weekend of "The Chronicles of Narnia" last Christmas season.
Joseph Farar of "Between the Lines" calls the movie "the finest Christmas movie ever made" and is urging all Christians to go to the see it. Many churches have arranged to go in large groups, even looking forward to having to wait in line. The idea is to let the media see that there is a definite thirst for family-friendly movies. Especially one that tells the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. A fine CHRISTmas present from Hollywood, it is.
